春季奉命守郡，匆匆出直，此後遂無由再綴一詞。因思五年以來，手不停披，在方略館宿直時常徹夜為之，或屢代人夜直為之。以用力之勤，竊喜稍存梗概，因於簿書之隙，重加勘匯，閱月而成編，為門七，為卷十有六。卷首恭錄訓諭，次列除授，又次紀恩敘，又次詳規制，又次考題名，而以詩文及雜記附末。適補章鉅缺入直者為李侍讀彥章，因以稿本寄之，拾遺正誤。又經年而稿還，時章鉅已為淮海監司，遂付梓人。書中艮限仍以壬午春季為斷，俟好事者續增焉。軍機處為我朝政府，考官制者謂卽唐、宋之樞密，因題為《樞垣記略》云。
道光癸未
秋仲，梁章鉅識於清江浦之以政學齋。
