勸陳誡新緩歸
九峯信至，道足下有意南旋，何計之左也！弟亦駕遊冀北，七載於茲，曰歸曰歸，情固宜爾。第硯田久旱，甫幸有秋；一年之耕，諒無多穫，除卻歸程膏秣，所餘能有幾何？恐覓家園之樂，反貽困守之虞。不如再積錙銖，稍豐囊篋，然後扁舟歸里，持紫蟹而剝青菱，未爲晚也。恃愛直陳，伏惟垂諒。
弟爲捐事所累，敝廬業已轉售，魚轍本枯，雀巢又失，窘况可想而知矣！
