頃得貴友俞君札，知渠鼓盆抱戚，解館而南。想前席已虛，別須延訪。且琴軒晉省，則蓮幕不可無賓；而秋水伊人，一時勢難遠致。因思槐卿章舍親，向曾受知於閣下，雖前緣之已判，詎繼見之無心？弟故不揣冒昧，重爲說項；如欲相延，則近在同方，羅致尚易。惟束芻不足以縻良驥，滴水不足以養尺魚，閣下固善將將者，度亦欣然樂從，以謂「多多益善」也。
