遙辱手誨，伏審起居健適。老表兄蔗境彌甘，松姿益茂；芒鞋竹杖，山水自娛，視勞勞異域者，判若仙凡矣。
弟讀書未成，名心久息。近爲同人力勸，擬作援例之舉。亦以吾道卑卑，流而愈下，大都依草附木，要結上游；而特立獨行者，率皆枯坐。如弟不工趨附，素乏黨援，三窟之營，未始非計，以故孟浪爲之。惠假一款，愆期未趙，自問此腹，不肯負人，來歲鯉魚風起，必使珠還合浦也。
