鏡別為專門，何也？其四言在《易繇》與《詩》之間；三言至七言，在謠諺之間。體裁尤芳異，文章家喜之，錄之以貺夫言詩者也。其用韻，則不可以周之諧聲求之矣；其文字，大小篆與隸書相雜為體。起於秦，汔於齊、梁間。自藏五，諸家墨本三十有九，總四十有四。
