南渡後，李長源七言律詩清壯頓挫，能動搖人心，高處往往不減唐人。麻知幾七言長韻，天隨子所謂「陵轢波濤，穿穴險固，囚鎖怪異，破碎陳敵」者，皆略有之。然長源失在無穰茹，知幾病在少持擇，詩家亦以此為恨。仲梁材地有餘，而持擇功夫勝，其餘或亦有不迨二子者。絕長補短，大概一流人也。今二子亡矣，仲梁氣銳而筆健，業專而心精，極他日所至，當於古人中求之，不特如退之之於李元賓耶。河東人元某書。
