　　社稷起於上古祀共工氏之子句龍為社厲山氏之子柱為稷至商湯因旱遷柱以周棄代之成周之制天子立五社諸侯三社皆以句龍配社周棄配稷社壇在東稷壇在西天子用太牢諸侯用少牢皆黝色幣用黑日用甲王服絺冕樂用太蔟歌應鍾舞咸池用三獻後漢建武立大社稷二月八月及臘日一嵗三祠皆用太牢郡縣置社稷太守令長侍祠魏立二社一稷梁以二十五家為社春秋祠水旱禱祈祠隋開皇初用戊日至唐社以句龍配稷以后土配亡宋因唐舊制社壇廣五尺高四尺以五色土為之稷壇在西如社之制社以石為主形如鐘長五尺方二尺剡其上象天方其下象地埋其半於地其垣飾以方色屋用三門四十㦸其中植槐

郡縣社稷壇社方二丈五尺高三尺四出陛主長二尺五寸方一尺餘如舊制一壝二十五歩紹興式社以后土句龍氏配稷以后稷氏配先儒之說謂社稷皆土祗有生育之功句龍周棄能平水土故用為后土及田正之神又曰社為土地之神稷為五穀之神故報而祭之祭法當依漢唐制郡縣各用羊一豕一先瘞血首餘以骨體薦黑幣二樽二籩豆各八簠簋各一俎八每嵗仲春秋戊日黎明郡縣官三獻以公服行事執事者無所考舊以吏佐討論如此打畫圖壝行禮節次抄連在前請更為參究合宜行下郡縣依上施行
