Punctuation options
白相遊街喚勅桃，原從英語實叻勞。
巫腔華調相參雜，齒冷西醫是駱駝。
註：滬語白相，廣語遊街，閩語則云勅桃也。有同僑以此此徵余之字義，余啞然曰：是勅桃一名詞，蓋從英語實叻勞Stroll音譯而來，本無所謂字義也。西醫博士頭銜音譯，國語作達克透Doctor，廣語作鐸打，閩南則作駱駝矣。此由馬來語腔所轉成，登得妃豨，自昔有然，交通日繁，於今為甚，惟駱駝之呼，近於虐謔，令人忍俊不禁耳。
