Punctuation options
巴剎呼余又卜干，綿蠻重譯聽來難。
別求兩詁賅場市，馬吉稱名義較寬。
註：星洲居民叫市場巴剎，余遊檳城及仰光，彼處則叫卜干，無所謂巴剎者也。考巴剎為突厥語之音譯，卜干為印度語之音譯，均屬舶來品。如以舶來然也，吾寧從英語馬吉一名為涵義較廣。巴剎、卜干僅指市場，而馬吉則可通於墟場及市情，凡兩詁。
