利用星期大掃除，掃除朽腐種番薯。
同街鼓樂分哀樂，鄰右方迎二八姝。
註：學校每以星期休息日舉行掃除淸潔。種番薯，華僑隱語，指埋死人也。中產階級屍柩須停留至星期日午出喪，以便執紼者之有閒暇。而少年索婦，亦輻輳於是晝，文明結婚，庶冀來賓觀禮者多也。
