歌聲樂器隨盈耳，惹得蕭翁笑未休。
註：星洲華僑好觀舊劇，種類色目，各不相通，惟廣府班、京班及潮州白字戲為比較優秀，得一般人之歡迎。然歌聲樂器，嘈雜錯落，洋洋盈耳，是其通病，以蕭伯納眼光觀之，似均無當於歐西作風者也。
