寇佔領馬來亞後，雖以殘酷手段，實行肅淸工作，然游擊隊正潛滋暗長，各地伏莽殊多，且形成有力之馬來亞人民抗日軍，三年來彼等蟄伏山林，截擊破壞時有所聞。寇屢次進剿，均無效果，乃另想辦法，改剿為撫，令華僑設招安徽，擬以利誘此輩出而協力皇軍，建設東亞，然為效甚微。寇稱游擊隊為山老鼠，誠不料此鼠輩竟為日寇之患也。
（編按）馬來亞人民抗日軍是抗日的主要力量，日本人詆毀馬來亞人民抗日軍為山老鼠，一些國民黨人以及無知者也隨之附和。謝松山在此亦以「鼠輩」稱呼抗日軍，態度輕浮。
