積雨始霽、爽氣可體。余便思採蕈之遊、飄然出廓。數里入山。松林森鬱、翠色欲滴。而苔徑飽雨、時聞微香。余欣然以爲、松蕈在近。偶有樵叟、手籃而來。亦採蕈者。
余先進、排蒙茸而行。左右注視、一歩一顧、探索移時、未有一獲。脚疲意倦、就松下憩。少焉、叟緩歩而至。蕈已盈籃。有如張蓋者。有如戴笠者。有如繭栗者。大小長短、錯落參差、香氣衝鼻。
余謂叟曰、吾之初入山、意謂、若後于人、恐不能獲。故先叟而行、心忙足躁、終無所獲。叟俯不答、仰而大笑。蓋有諷意。記以存之。丙戌十月。（晩晴樓文鈔）
