女奴於田中掘地，得一物塊然，叩之聲硜硜，剜土痕剔蘚紋，乃小石鐺也。柄三寸，中可受二升許。沙以磨之，水以滌之，光潔可愛。余命置諸左右，以供烹茶煮藥之具。時復摩挲以戲之曰：「鐺乎鐺乎。」與天作石者幾年，巧匠斲而器之。爲人家用者又幾年，埋在土中，不見用於世者又幾年，而今爲吾所得。噫！石，物之最賤且頑者。其隱顯之間，不能無數也如此，況最貴最靈者耶，遂作銘以刻之。得之日，乙
