西周，至秦
以降，方納入東周，並沿用之。
儒者常以三代為美，如《
論語·為政第二
》:「殷因於夏禮，所損益可知也。周因於殷禮，所損益可知也。」；《
論語·八佾第三
》：「周監於二代，郁郁乎文哉！吾從周。」據
