甘肅諸郡嬰孩多患石淋之疾，天下震動
。
朝廷命有司窮究其事。
九月，質檢總局上言：
河北石家莊三鹿所製乳粉，雜三聚氰胺
。
三聚氰胺者，乃藥石
之屬，非食也。食之，則水道生石，甚者腎敗而死，
律
所明禁。
然其質多含氮。時校
乳品，循凱氏定氮法，以氮
之多寡，定蛋白質之豐瘠。
奸人乘其隙：先羼水於乳，復投此物以增氮數，偽合其準，以欺校者。夫弊之所起，在乳源也。
酪戶散養，
乳肆收之。肆主貪圖微利，陰行此事。三鹿及他廠校驗不精，督察疏漏，遂使毒乳流入市廛
。

衛生部奏：是事致嬰孩死者六，就醫者五萬四千餘，蒙害者近三十萬。
事覺，朝野震駭。質檢總局長李長江、石家莊黨
委書記吳顯國等，皆坐此免官。三鹿遂傾。其魁
田文華坐製售偽物罪，判終身監
。
製售毒物者張玉軍、耿金平二人，伏誅
。此民食之大鑒也。
