鄉村土人以迎土地神，聯百千燈籠為身輥，毬燈為珠亙街穿巷，導以旌旄，夾以鼓吹，以迎神而祈水澤。農家於望夕，以高炬照田四隅，曰照田蠶。又造麵繭，今俗所製正如蠶繭狀，蒸之，看饀占水旱、卜流年休咎。歲時記謂即厚皮饅頭大謬。

高麗國則以二月十五日為上元，且僧俗燃燈。
