中正紀念堂

中正紀念堂，立於中華民國臺北中正區，肇於民國六十五年，越四年成。

此堂之立，在憶思先總統蔣中正
。形制仿古，凡六柱五間十一樓。堂前立有牌坊，橫匾書「大中至正」。語出王陽明
《傳習錄》「不知先生居夷三載，處困養靜，精一之功，固已超入聖域，粹然大中至正之歸矣。」亦合中正本名。

九十六年，民進黨易其名曰「自由廣場」，取道西法，左而右書，去漢文牌匾之風。兼易紀念堂名，名之「臺灣民主紀念館」。翌年，國民黨當政，歸正堂名，而匾額字書，則不復正，以息民爭。
百有六年春，
文化部長鄭麗君告曰，售於紀念堂，而有涉乎蔣氏威權者，盡撤之
