一九九五年十月，
中華民國教育部修訂頒布《高級中學國文課程標準》。其教學目標第三條定云：「研讀中國文化基本教材，賦予現代價值觀，培養倫理道德之觀念，愛國淑世之精神。」二八年，此書以《國學基本教材》之名行於中原
。新華出版社出版之。

一七年，課綱改易，《教材》所摭，不限《四書》
。
