唐文宗，諱昂，原名李涵，
唐穆宗第二子也。
帝即位後，深知穆宗、敬宗兩朝之弊，勵精求治，出宮女三千餘人，放五坊鷹犬。省冗官一千二百餘員。大和初，政號清明。帝仁而少斷，制宦官不得其術。遂成甘露之變，在位十四年崩，廟號文宗。
