大塊吐息，
動能斯生，此風能也。
太陽能所寓形也。蓋以日
光普澤地球，而各部之受熱也不均。於是大氣層中，
壓力之佈也曾不相類，遂生水平氣壓梯度力。力相推移，動氣成風。
風能可復生，清潔，廣佈六合，儲量豐厚。然揆能量密度，風能不及水，唯其八百分之一。又不穩恆。
