厯甲第以遊觀，旋陋巷而言歸。伊余館之褊狹，良窮弊而極微。閤寥戾以互掩，門崎嶇而外扉。室側戶以攅楹，檐接柜而交榱。當祝融之御節，熾朱明之隆暑。沸體惄其如鑠，珠汗揮其如雨。若乃重陰晦㝠，天威震曜，漢潦沸騰，叢溜奔激，臼竈為之沉溺，器用為之浮漂。彼處貧而不怨，嗟生民之攸難。匪廣廈之足榮，有切身之近患。青陽萌而畏暑，白藏兆而懼寒。獨味道而不悶，喟然向其時歎。
