紫華，一名長樂，生於蜀，其東界特饒，中國奇而種之，余嘉其華純耐久，可歷冬而服，故與友生各為之賦。 有遐方之奇草，稟二氣之純精，仰紫微之景曜，因令色以定名，剛莖勁立，纖條繁列，從回風以搖動，紛蘭暢而蕙潔，蔚青蔥以增茂，並含華而未發，於是散綠葉，秀紫榮，蘊若芝草之始敷，灼若百枝之在庭，獨參差以照燿，何光麗之雜形，渙渙昱昱而奪人目精，下無物以借喻，上取象於朝霞，妙萬物而比艷，莫茲草之可嘉。
