馬克思、
尼采之啟。入巴黎高等師範學院，師從阿爾都塞，習心理哲學。嘗入法國共產黨，三年後退之。著書有《瘋與雅》《臨床醫學之誕》《詞與物》《知識考古學》《訓與罰》《性史》。一九八四年因艾滋病卒。
