童兵，謂未成年者，被迫持兵，而入戍役也。夫以幼童從軍，本乃非法，不合人道。此事多見於亂世，或戰火稍息之國。其童幼稚未脱，稟性尚頑，不知生死之厲，而強使挾戈入陣，其險惡可知。
