Punctuation options
純電動之車，謂全賴蓄電池之電動機，以行其路也。而其電力之資，必由外部之電源，以附能之。傳媒通稱為「電動車」，故往往與諸般電力驅動之車，混而不明。
純電動之車不濁污行經路面周遭之空氣。而其電動馬達，於低速、加速之能耐，以及能量效率，實俱傑出之表現。故於頻繁之加減速工作車輛中，特別富效率之特質。燃油汽車，停車之際，引擎猶需輕輕旋轉，以致浪費燃料，並無謂之污染；較之，純電動車則於停車時，電動機全然靜止，無不必要之能耗。甚而在制動及下坡之時，可收回動力，以回充電池，增進能量效率，並減少零件機械之損耗，增加其可靠性，亦減少其維護之必要。於交通擁擠之環境下，特別具有能源效益，對於環境污染之影響，亦低於其他車型。
