菽
也。屬豆科、蝶形花亞科豇豆屬。可食用。圓小如珠。綠豆必小暑方種，未及小暑而種，則其苗蔓延數尺，結莢甚稀。若過期至於處暑，則隨時開花結莢，顆粒亦少。豆種亦有二，一曰摘綠，莢先老者先摘，人逐日而取之。一曰拔綠，則至期老足，竟畝拔取也。凡綠豆磨澄曬乾為粉，蕩片搓索，食家珍貴。做粉溲漿灌田甚肥。凡畜藏綠豆種子，或用地灰、石灰、馬蓼，或用黃土拌收，則四，五月間不愁空蛀。勤者逢晴頻曬，亦免蛀。凡已刈稻田，夏秋種綠豆，必長接斧柄，擊碎土塊，發生乃多。凡種綠豆，一日之內，遇大雨扳土則不復生。既生之後，防雨水浸，疏溝澮以泄之。凡耕綠豆及大豆田地，耒耜欲淺，不宜深入。蓋豆質根短而苗直，耕土既深，土塊曲壓，則不生者半矣。「深耕」二字不可施之菽類。此先農之所未發者。
