義大利半島之衛星圖於春
義大利半島，或謂之亞平寧半島，
南歐羅巴三大半島之一也，其狀如靴，深嵌於地中海
。
阿爾卑斯山阻其北，
亞得里亞海居其東、
帝勒尼安海位其西、南則有愛奧尼亞海
。夏乾冬雨，屬地中海型氣候，其脊粱亞平寧山餘脈入海而延於西西里島
。多火山、繁地震，其西南有維蘇威火山嘗沒龐貝城，今動搖仍頻。半島立有三國曰義大利、
聖馬力諾、
梵蒂岡，而義大利其大者也。
