沿革
此縣蓋秦之會稽郡烏傷縣。歷朝屢析其境。今金華、
東陽、
蘭溪、
永康、
浦江，皆以其所割土更置。唐初，置稠州於此。元明以來皆屬婺州，即金華也。一九五九年，嘗省浦江入義烏，旋復置之。一九八八年，晉為市。級縣。
