聖殿山在
耶路撒冷舊城，
宗教聖地也。
猶太教中，聖殿山屬至聖，蓋為聖殿之所在焉。聖殿初建於西元前九六七年，至前五八六年隳毀；後再建於前五一五年，西元七十年再毀。教徒云，
彌賽亞到，將復建焉。今聖殿山所在不明，
猶太人或謂：聖殿山所在，
阿克薩清真寺也。然阿拉伯人異之，謂其言無所據。
回教聖地圓頂清真寺、
阿克薩清真寺，皆俱在聖殿山。圓頂建於六九一年
