漢豫章人也。初任丹楊太守
。
吳太傅諸葛恪數出軍攻曹魏
。諸大臣同辭諫恪，恪不聽。友素與恪善，乃以書
諫之。恪答曰：「足下雖有自然之理，然未見大數。熟省此論，可以開悟矣。」於是違眾出軍，大發州郡二十萬眾，百姓騷動，大失人心。
恪伏誅，
孫峻忌友。欲以為鬱林太守，友發病憂死，時年卅三。
