時諸侯反董卓，都督華雄為
孫堅梟首，軫為東郡太守，奉卓令同呂布迎擊，軫性急，與布不相能，豫宣言「今此行也，要當斬一青綬，乃整齊耳」。布等惡之，宣言相警云「賊至」，軍衆大亂奔走，軫等為堅擊走。

董卓為王允、呂布所弒，聞李傕攻至，軫奉允令同徐榮擊傕於新豐，榮戰死，軫以眾降，授軫司隸校尉。

軫與羽林中郎將游殷有隙，軫遂誣構煞之。殷死月餘，軫得病，目睛脫，但言：「伏罪！伏罪！游幼齊將鬼來。」於是遂死。

又《後漢書·陳王列傳》言軫名種，種與王允兄弘農太守宏
素有隙，及宏下獄，種遂迫促殺之。宏臨命詬曰：「宋翼豎儒，不足議大計。胡種樂人之禍，禍將及之。」種後眠輒見宏以杖擊之，因發病，數日死。
