》言麥鞠、鞠藭御濕，治河魚腹疾。予治濕瀉，每加二味，其應如響也。血痢已通而痛不止者，乃陰虧氣鬱，藥中加芎為佐，氣行血調，其病立止。

《本草匯言》：「芎藭，上行頭目，下調經水，中開鬱結，血中氣藥，嘗為當歸所使，非第治血有功，而治氣亦神驗也；味辛性陽，氣善走竄而無陰凝粘滯之態，雖入血分，又能去一切風，調一切氣。」效

活血行氣，祛風止痛。

主中風入腦，頭痛，寒痹，筋攣急，金瘡，婦人血閉無子。
