《夢憶》有志。迨其作文時，范氏七十有三。
「范與蘭七十有三，好琴，喜種蘭及盆池小景。」與蘭善卉藝、葩道，芬芳郁郁，三五日不散。知琴藝，待花甚癡。
豆板黃楊，呼之「小妾」，二十金不易。宗子嘗借三月，垂幹葳蕤，鬱喪舁歸。
與蘭憫惜，煮參沃之，日夜摩挲，三旬復活。
「與蘭少年學琴於王明泉，能彈《漢宮秋》、《山居吟》、《水龍吟》三曲。」「與蘭驚惶無措，煮參汁澆灌，日夜摩之不置，一月後枯幹復活。」
