莆仙語之分佈（黃）莆仙語，
閩省莆田地方之言也，亦名興化語
。操之者，多居閩省莆田、
仙遊之地，遂以「莆仙」名之。能言者五百萬餘。
莆仙語有調七：曰陰平，曰陰上，曰陰去，曰陰入，曰陽平，曰陽去，曰陽入，上古雅言之韻猶存。操閩東語、
閩南語者易習之，然中原操官話者，多弗能懂也。
