。乃有清一代，
瓊崖進士之第一人，初於吏部觀政三年，後改授直隸慶雲知縣
。其為官甚愛民，疏浚頰河以弭隱患，創月陽橋，使民便利。以督理河
工過度而疾，乃歸家，歸時清風兩袖。
巡按御史王之畸甚敬重，賦詩為其送行。歸而未嘗入公門，唯讀書吟詩而自娛。
