閩東北多湍流，鄉民善造廊橋，集大成者，首推萬安橋，蓋其工藝精巧，巧奪天工，橋長三十丈，橋屋三十八間，柱一百五十六根，五墩六孔，舟形墩，不等跨，木拱廊屋，飛簷走梭，古樸端莊，氣勢雄偉。橋在寧德屏南縣長橋村，始建北宋元祐五年，近千載來，屢毀屢建，列國保文物，西曆二二二年夏，失火焚沒。惜乎痛哉！
