趙肅，與廣陽門郎蔡樽稱賢者。時為梁大同七年
。諮懼走廣州，南帝乃入龍編，據於交州。
梁大同八年冬，梁使孫冋平南亂，冋以春瘴方起，請待秋時，不許。乃軍入南地。至合浦，瘴氣大作，漢兵十死六七，無奈而返。明年，林邑寇日南，使范脩拒，敗之於九德。
