之第十九君。隱太子之子，
靈侯之孫也。史記作景侯少子，靈侯之弟。
楚平王元年（魯昭公十三年）復封蔡，廬歸於蔡，是為平侯。平侯元年，魯昭公十三年也。三年（魯昭公十五年），蔡逐大夫朝吳。八年（魯昭公二十年），冬十一月，平侯薨，
太子朱即位。明年三月，葬平侯。
