蘭陵蕭氏，
士族也。源出子姓，宋公族。祖蕭叔大心。《新唐書》訛作姬姓。世居蘭陵郡

永嘉之亂南徙。爲僑姓。入南朝，蕭道成立南齊，是爲齊高帝
。蕭衍代南齊而立南梁，是為梁武帝
。隋一南北，蕭氏顯宦於朝。唐世十人入相。定著二房。皇舅房一人，齊梁房九人。
