蝦夷人也。父義廣。祖光廣。并蝦夷領主。永正四年生。天文十四年，義廣卒，季廣嗣之。從弟基廣反，命長門廣益討平之。義廣在時，日與蝦夷、骨嵬爭。及季廣主其領，稍修親善。與土人約互不相侵。或云此約乃安東舜季之功。時蠣崎爲舜季之附庸，凡有事，皆赴之。季廣以其諸女妻奧州豪傑子，以強其勢。天正十一年，禪家督於子慶廣。豐臣秀吉以慶廣爲家臣，季廣喜，謂其子曰「吾所仕，檜山屋形耳，爾爲天下主家臣矣！」言畢伏拜之。由是蝦夷皆蠣崎私領，不復受制於安東矣。文祿四年，薨，壽八十九。子十三人。第三子松前慶廣嗣。
