衛共伯，姬姓，諱餘，乃周
諸侯衛
之第十君。
頃侯之孫，
釐侯之太子也。釐侯四十二年薨，太子餘立為君。共伯弟和
有寵於釐侯，多與之賂，和以其賂賂士，以襲攻共伯於墓上，共伯入釐侯羨自殺。衛人因葬之釐侯傍，諡曰共伯，而立和是為武公。詩序曰僖侯世子恭伯，恭伯早卒，僖侯薨，恭伯弟和立，是為武公。
