貞伯薨，子頃侯即位。史記云頃侯厚賂周夷王，命衛為侯。
孔安國曰方伯州牧也，五代恒為方伯，至頃侯德衰，不監諸侯，乃從本爵而稱侯，非是至子而削爵，及賄夷王而稱侯也。頃侯立十二年薨，子釐侯立。
