武帝即王位，拜尚書令。及受禪，加左光祿大夫，封鉅鹿郡公，為司空。秀儒學洽聞，且留心政事，當禪代之際，總納言之要，其所裁當，禮無違者。又以職在地官，作禹貢地域圖十八篇，奏之，藏於祕府。
泰始七年薨，年四十八。有二子：濬、頠。
