白銀，
白金三者之謂也。此三者價昂色美，不腐不鏽，長存不化，能歷久而不貶值，故名之曰「貴」。
昔布雷頓森林體系未廢之時，西方列國錢幣，依定利率與美元兑之，美元則視所含黄金之多寡，而定價之。故彼時貨幣，往往明示含金量。洎體系既廢，各國利率自由浮動，則黃金諸物，方不以貨幣視之。
