費米，名恩里柯，
義大里亞人也。生於公元一九零一，卒於一九五四。少敏，好格物，長而入比薩大學，專攻物理。後至德國，從海森堡學，獲益良多。
公元一九三八，費米獲諾貝爾物理獎，因其中子轟擊元素之研究。其後，因政局動盪，攜妻籌美。至米國，參與曼哈頓計劃，助研製原子彈。
費米於核物理貢獻卓著，創立費米子理論，啟後世之思。卒於芝加哥，年五十三。
