車裂，

磔
。俗呼曰五馬分屍
。以繩系頭手足，復系繩於五馬之車。始刑，五馬並進，身首異處。時人多以車裂為酷刑，實非。古人以肌膚之體受于父母，死無全屍者，大不孝也。是故車裂者，分刑者之死屍，絕犯人之孝道也。
古名人而受刑者：
商鞅變革，為權貴所忌，其名為天下一。復有嫪毐者，圖謀反始皇，亦遭車裂。
