初僅名《軒轅劍》，復出《軒轅劍貳》，以續前事。俄而《楓之舞》出，號曰外傳。自是以降，諸代咸有正外兩傳耳。

發跡

庚午年，多魔所制《軒轅劍》乃第一中文武俠游戲，是時，民眾多為所動。然多魔首作，歷事尚淺，制作甚劣，人多小之。且研制之時，多魔一人服徭役，以致游戲所敘割裂，后乃以《軒轅劍貳》補全之。

《軒轅劍》各人稱號皆襲《
聊齋志異
》，曰燕赤霞，曰寧采臣云者。二代一一去之，換以新制名稱，曰何然、江如紅、楊坤碩。

二代所載之機關術，煉妖壺皆為后代引用，為民眾所喜。

全盛

乙卯仲冬，《軒轅劍叁》刊行於世，一時聲名大噪，蓋多魔歷史四年之所為做。越明年，《天之痕》行，街巷傳譽。攜《叁》與《天》，大宇尤為所譽，是為全盛。比諸外傳，正傳之劣，亦由是始。
