一日乃袖刃，發狂奔走，至庠序，適蒙童就館，羣集門牆。徑前，箍一童頸，出所袖刃，環刺，童顛僕，血濺塵埃。童皆大驚，四散。複捉一童，及胸而刺，刀沒。頃刻，死傷不計數矣。童懼，哀哭號泣，四野可聞。洙泗而為修羅獄也。有健婦名劉瑞英，掃街者也，護童於身後，挺帚擊鄭，鄭退。眾人亦至，合力而擒之。當其時，緹騎未至，人皆急切不得近，眾童之免於死者，多賴掃街健婦之力也。

此血案既出，旋驚天下。民情激憤，黎元共誅，四月，鄭氏伏誅。
