明誠孝昭皇后令與嫡弟襄王瞻墡監國。宣德四年，赴國鳳翔府，以隴人多瘿，正統九年，改國懷慶府，王多暴怒杖人至死，稍不如意輒系殺之。
英宗欲置強相，以御史周瑛為長史，後稍戢，王成化二年薨。子祁鍈襲爵。
